Datuk Dr. James Jeremiah is a registered member of the Malaysian Medical Council, Malaysian Medical Association, College of Physicians Malaysia, Sabah Kidney Foundation, Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, and more.

He obtained his MBBS degree from Mysore University, India in 1984 and has since accumulated an impressive array of qualifications, including Diploma in Genitourinary Medicine, Diploma in Tropical Medicine, Diploma in Reproductive Medicine and Diploma in Occupational Medicine.

After completing his housemanship in Johor Bahru, Datuk Dr. James was posted to Beaufort, Sabah, where he served as a Medical Officer and Area Health Officer from 1986 to 1990. He then went on to practise medicine in Labuan from 1991 to 1993 before entering private practice.

In 1993, Datuk Dr. James founded the Permai Polyclinics Group, which has since grown to 37 branches across East and West Malaysia. The Group’s expansion has provided direct employment opportunities for over 300 Sabahans and over 50 doctors, creating a sizeable job market for supporting industries.

Beyond his clinical work, Datuk Dr. James is actively involved in charity and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
